Summary:

Montana has become a battleground state over school privatization. A suite of private school choice bills were introduced during the 2013 session, ranging from voucher programs for students with disabilities to tax credit scholarship programs. Two bills -- one establishing a tax credit scholarship program, the other an educational savings account for students with disabilities -- made it out of the House. The tax credit scholarship bill also passed the Senate, but was subsequently vetoed by Governor Steve Bullock.
